Usefulness
Food should be eaten. Moving it for show, or counting it twice, is not rescue.
About
Bluebird Bounty is a food rescue organization. This page describes that work. It does not invent a founding year, a street, a staff list, or a set of partners.
Surplus food is still food. Kitchens, grocers, farms, and gatherings can end a day with more than they can serve, and somewhere nearby a meal is still needed. Bluebird Bounty exists to close that gap with care: gather what is still good, move it in time, and hand it to people and programs ready to serve it.
Rescue is hospitality with a timetable. The food has to stay safe. The handoff has to be respectful. A photograph of abundance is not the same thing as a meal.
The plot we will print is the work itself.
A longer origin — who started this, where the first pickup happened, which kitchens said yes — belongs on this page only when the people who lived it write it down. Until then, the story stops at the mission.
Food should be eaten. Moving it for show, or counting it twice, is not rescue.
Time, temperature, and cleanliness are part of the gift. So is honesty about what the food is.
Offering food is a welcome, not a spectacle. People are not props for a story about waste.
Numbers, names, and promises go on this site when they are real. Empty space is better than a polished guess.
Before you publish a history
Replace this note, in about.html, with the origin you can stand behind. Add dates, cities, staff, and partners only if they are yours. This template shipped without them on purpose.
If a detail is still unsettled, leave it off the page. You can say what the work is without saying when a chapter began.
